Manchester United are pushing to appoint Sporting coach Ruben Amorim following the departure of Erik ten Hag earlier this week. Erik ten Hag was sacked by Manchester United on Monday, less than 24 hours after a 2-1 defeat at West Ham United. Ineos kept hold of Ten Hag over the summer and backed him with a number of summer signings to improve his United squad. The results and performances still weren’t good enough though and Ten Hag has been given his marching orders.
