A diversion has been put in place as a busy route has been closed for emergency works. The A25 Maidstone Road in St Mary’s Platt was shut at 1.30pm today for tree surgery to be carried out and is set to remain so until 5pm. The main road also passes through both Borough Green and Wrotham Heath. Kent County Council (KCC) Highways has warned drivers to expect delays. The road closure points include the A20 junction of A25 Wrotham Heath and Platt Industrial Estate, as well as the High Street, Station Road and Western Road in Borough Green.
