A railway line will remain shut until at least Tuesday because the track is not “as level as it needs to be”. Network Rail workers have been carrying out urgent repairs to the route between Tonbridge and Edenbridge since the defect was detected yesterday evening. It has meant that all Southern services between the two towns have been cancelled. Network Rail has posted pictures on X (formerly Twitter) showing what appears to be a slight dip in the track.
