Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Xiaomi 15 series of flagship phones for China. The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, both powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, are expected to debut in October this year. Last week, a Digital Chat Station informant leaked information about the battery size of the Xiaomi 15 Pro. In a new leak, the informant revealed the thickness and weight of the device.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro, which debuted in October 2023 in China, had a 4880 mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Speculation suggests that the 15 Pro could significantly improve its battery performance with a high-density 6000mAh silicon-carbon negative electrode battery. It will also reportedly support 90W wired charging and likely 50W wireless charging.

According to the new leak, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will be 8.5 mm thick and weigh about 220 grams. For comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is also 8.5 mm thick but weighs 223 grams. This suggests that the Xiaomi 15 Pro will have a much larger battery while maintaining the same thickness.

According to other reports, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will have a 6.74-inch OLED screen with micro-bending on all four sides. It is expected to offer a 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The device will run on Android 15 with HyperOS.

The main camera of the 15 Pro may include a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50K primary sensor with variable aperture f/1.4-f/2.5, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX8-series periscopic telephoto lens with optical zoom up to 5x. In addition, the device is expected to be IP69-rated for dust and water resistance.
