Two people were seriously injured Thursday afternoon in Jackson after a head-on collision on a busy highway, police said. A car was traveling west when it entered the eastbound side of East Veterans Highway and smashed into another vehicle, Jackson Township Police Chief Matthew D. Kunz told NJ Advance Media. Kunz said it was unclear why the car ended up on the wrong side of the road.
