At least half of all buildings in the Gaza Strip have been damaged or destroyed since the beginning of the conflict there nearly four months ago, British broadcaster BBC reported on Tuesday. Satellite data analysed by US universities and seen by the BBC suggests that between 144,000 and 175,000 buildings across the coastal strip have been damaged or destroyed since October 7. That corresponds to between 50% and 61% of Gaza’s buildings.
