European aerospace company Airbus on Tuesday reported that its second quarter net income dropped to €230 million ($249 million) from last year’s €1.06 billion. Earnings per share declined to €0.29 from €1.34 in the prior year. The company said earnings before interest, taxes (EBIT) totalled €847 million, down from €1.497 billion in the previous year, due to charges in the Space Systems business. Revenues for the second quarter rose slightly to €15,995 million compared to €15,900 million a year earlier.
