Profit decreased for Dutch financial services firm ING Group in the third quarter of the year compared to the same period of the previous year. ING Group reported on Thursday that its third-quarter net result fell 5.1% to €1.88 billion ($2.04 billion) from last year’s €1.98 billion. Profit before tax was €2.67 billion, down 6.9% from the prior year’s €2.87 billion. Total income, however, grew 1.1% to €5.91 billion from €5.84 billion a year ago.
