A successful joint operation by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and Iraqi Security Forces resulted in the elimination of 15 ISIS operatives in Western Iraq on August 29th. According to CENTCOM, the operation, conducted in the early hours of the day, targeted an ISIS cell armed with an array of weapons, grenades, and explosive suicide belts. No civilian casualties were reported.
