Realme has launched the Realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ smartphones in India as planned. These new smartphones have many improvements over their predecessors. They come with an improved processor, better cooling, better camera sensors, and many other upgrades.
Display and design
Both the Realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ feature a 6.7-inch curved FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, ultra-thin bezels, and 2160Hz PWM high-frequency dimming. The displays offer up to 2000 nits of peak brightness for clear visibility in bright sunlight. They include Realme Pro-XDR technology that enhances photo effects with better dynamic range and brightness. The display supports 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
The design of these phones is inspired by Claude Monet’s artwork and is available in Monet Gold and Monet Purple for the glass back, and Emerald Green for the vegan leather option. High-gloss AG glass with Miracle Shining Craft technology creates a shimmering effect.
The phone dimensions are as follows:
- Glass back models: 161.34×73.91×8.23 mm; Weight: 188 g (13 Pro) / 190 g (13 Pro+)
- Models made of vegan leather: 161.34 × 73.91 × 8.41 mm; Weight: 183.5 g (13 Pro) / 185.5 g (13 Pro+)
In addition, the devices are dust and water resistant with an IP65 rating.
Performance and cooling
Both models are powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. They feature a 9-layer cooling system, including 4500mm² hardened VC and 9953mm² graphite, to keep the devices cool during heavy use.
Camera features
The Realme 13 Pro+ features a 50-megapixel rear camera with Sony LYT-701 sensor (f/1.88 aperture) and OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto camera (f/2.65 aperture) offering 3x optical zoom and up to 120x SuperZoom.
The Realme 13 Pro includes a 50-megapixel LYT-600 sensor (f/1.88 aperture) with OIS and an 8-megapixel (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide camera. Both models have a 32-megapixel front-facing camera and AI features such as Ultra Clarity, Smart Removal, Group Photo Enhance, and Audio Zoom.
Battery and charging
Both phones come with a 5200 mAh battery. Realme 13 Pro+ supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, reaching 50% in 19 minutes and 100% in 49 minutes. Realme 13 Pro offers 45W SuperVOOC fast charging.
Software and other features
The devices run Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0. Realme promises two major Android OS updates and three years of security updates. Connectivity options include 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and USB Type-C.
The phones have a fingerprint sensor built into the display for security, as well as stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio.
Prices and availability
The Realme 13 Pro is available in three variants: 8GB+128GB for Rs. 26,999, 8GB+256GB for Rs. 28,999 and 12GB+512GB for Rs. 31,999. Realme 13 Pro+ is priced at Rs. 32,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, Rs. 34,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, and Rs. 36,999 for the 12GB + 512GB model.
Sales will start on August 6, with early bird sales starting on July 30 from 18:00 to 12:00. Pre-booking opens on July 31.
