Switzerland on Monday transported the first batch of 25 Leopard 2 battle tanks to Germany, which Berlin will use to replenish stocks sent to Ukraine. The first nine tanks were handed over to the German manufacturer Rheinmetall on Tuesday by the Swiss defence procurement authority Armasuisse, authorities in Bern said. The used tanks were brought to Germany by train. Rheinmetall will refurbish them to make them operational once again.
