A Swat team is on the scene in an upper middle class neighbourhood of Berlin after a man reportedly threatened another with a weapon, a police spokeswoman told dpa on Saturday. About 20 police officers are on the scene in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district, she said. The man who is reportedly armed is said to have retreated into a flat in the neighbourhood. The spokeswoman did not provide additional details. A dpa reporter heard several bangs that sounded like gunshots coming from the apartment block, but the police would not comment. Several ambulances and a rescue helicopter are at the scene.
