A Trenton man who committed a series of armed carjackings and robberies in the city was sentenced to 16 years in federal prison Thursday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Trenton announced. Joshua M. Perez, 25, pleaded guilty last year in federal court in Trenton to five crimes, two counts of carjacking, robbery and two counts of illegally possessing a firearm. He’s been incarcerated since his arrest in early 2021.
