The Euro 2024 qualifying play-off match between Israel and Iceland will take place in Budapest on March 21, the European ruling body UEFA said on Wednesday. Due to the conflict between Israel and Palestine, the game can’t take place in the region for security reasons. The winner will face the victor of the matchup between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine for a chance to play at the Euro 2024 in Germany this summer. Should Ukraine advance, they will host the game on March 26 in Poland, as they can’t play on home soil due to the Russian invasion.
