A discount store is set to open in a former Wilko and has taken on some of its staff. Poundstretcher will be launching in Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells, this Saturday (February 3). The news comes following Tunbridge council’s recent purchase of the centre. It was announced last September the local authority would be buying the building outright. Poundstretcher is a family business established more than 40 years ago and is the first branch to open in the town.
