Tokyo stocks opened higher Friday as investors scooped up bargains after the Nikkei index fell to a one-month low the previous day. In the first 15 minutes of trading, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 59.88 points, or 0.16 percent, from Thursday to 38,114.01. The broader Topix index was up 17.40 points, or 0.64 percent, at 2,743.60. On the top-tier Prime Market, gainers were led by oil and coal product, securities house and real estate issues.
