Canadas appeal against a six-point deduction in the Olympic womens football tournament in connection with a drone affair has been dismissed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The worlds highest sports court said on Wednesday that its ad-hoc division at the Games turned down the Canadian appeal to nullify or reduce the sanction imposed last week by footballs ruling body FIFA. It was revealed before Canadas opening game against New Zealand, which they won 2-1 last week, that they had been flying drones above their opponents training session which is prohibited by FIFA rules.
