Oppo is rumored to be working on a new flagship tablet called the Pad 3. It is expected to be rebranded as OnePlus Pad 2 for the global market.
However, the reliable tech resource Digital Chat Station reported today that the launch of both devices, as well as several other IoT products, has been postponed.
The postponed products include the Oppo Pad 3 and OnePlus Pad powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, OnePlus Watch based on Snapdragon W5, new color variants of OnePlus Buds 3 headphones and flagship Enco X3 headphones.
The reason for the delay is unclear, but the news is unexpected, as the Oppo Pad 3 is rumored to be coming to China next month.
The Pad 3 is expected to feature a 12.1-inch LCD panel with a 3K resolution (3000 x 2120 pixels) and 144Hz refresh rate. The display is likely to have a 7:5 screen aspect ratio and a peak brightness of 900 nits.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will be paired with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. The device will have a large 9510 mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging. It will run on a custom ColorOS shell based on Android 14.
Digital Chat Station previously reported that the Pad 3 will have an all-metal body with a sleek design. For photography, the tablet will be equipped with an 8-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The Oppo Pad 3 is also rumored to support the Oppo Pencil 2, which is enhanced with a linear motor.
