An appeal has been launched after a pensioner was seriously injured whilst changing his tyre on the A11. The incident happened at 9.59pm, yesterday (August 14), on the major road shortly after the stag roundabout when a black VW Passat collided with a broken-down white Citroen Saxo, injuring the man. The road was closed whilst emergency services, including the ambulance service, attended the scene. The man changing the tyre, aged in his 70s, was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
