South Korea’s Foreign Minister Cho Tae Yul will be travelling to China on Monday, for the first visit of a South Korean chief diplomat to neighbouring China in over six years. Cho will be in Beijing from Monday to Tuesday at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, the foreign ministry in Seoul announced on Friday. The meeting’s agenda will focus on a planned summit with Japan as well as topics of regional and global importance. The visit is seen as a joint effort from both sides to strengthen their relations.
