By Matthew Cooper Ryan Garcia had to pass a mental health evaluation ahead of his boxing match against Devin Haney after both the WBC and the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) expressed concerns about his behaviour. Garcia has made a number of bizarre statements in the build-up to the fight on social media and at the press conference and the 25-year-old also badly missed weight by more than 3lbs, meaning he can no longer win Haney’s WBC super lightweight title.
