By Alan Smith FIFA president Gianni Infantino has risked the wrath of agents once again after calling for government intervention to clamp down on fees paid to intermediaries as he singled out Premier League clubs for criticism. Figures published last week by the Football Association showed that English top-flight sides spent an eye-watering £409.5m to agents between February 1, 2023 to the same date this year. And in comments published on his own social media page, Infantino said he wants lawmakers to “play an active role in ensuring the funds generated in transfers are kept within football.”…
