Amid calls for a boycott from the authoritarian country’s exiled opposition, Belarus held parliamentary and local authority elections on Sunday that the electoral commission said passed off without incident. In addition to 110 members of the national parliament, voters were asked to elect around 12,000 representatives of local assemblies.
